This is my simple China travel guide from my first business trip from Bangladesh. I travelled from Dhaka to Guangzhou, then visited Dongguan, Humen and Shenzhen for leather business, buckle sourcing, mold making and factory visit.

As it was my first Guangzhou business trip, I made some mistakes. These mistakes wasted my time and gave me stress. 1. Fill Up China Entry Form Before Landing

My first mistake was I did not fill up the China arrival form before entering China. When I landed at Guangzhou airport, I faced some hassle.

Before your flight, keep these ready:

2. Save Your Hotel Address in Chinese

In China, many drivers and local people may not understand English. So before going from Dhaka to Guangzhou, save your hotel address in Chinese.

Keep screenshots of:

• Full address in Chinese
• Hotel phone number
• Location pin
• Booking confirmation

This small preparation can save you from big trouble during your China trave

3. Remember Metro Exit Gate Number

In China, metro stations are very big. One station can have many exits like A, B, C, D. If your hotel is near Exit C but you come out from Exit A, you may need to walk a long distance.

So when using Guangzhou metro or Shenzhen metro, remember:

Station name is not enough. Exit gate number is also important.

4. Go to Railway Station 1 Hour Early

China railway stations are very big, almost like airports. There is security check, passport check, ticket check, waiting hall and many platforms.

If you travel by high-speed train from Guangzhou to Dongguan, Guangzhou to Humen, or Guangzhou to Shenzhen, go to the station at least 1 hour early.

Do not go at the last moment. You may miss the train.

5. Check the Correct Station Name

This was one of my biggest mistakes in China.

I wanted to go to Dongguan for a leather business visit. I bought a ticket to Dongguan South Station, but later I found out my real destination was closer to Humen Railway Station.

China has many stations in one city. So before buying a train ticket, ask your supplier:

“Which railway station is nearest to your factory?”

For leather business, buckle factory, mold factory or belt machine supplier, this is very important. One wrong station can waste your whole day.

6. Fix Alipay, WeChat and Card Limit Before Travel

In China, most people use Alipay and WeChat Pay. Cash and foreign cards are not always easy to use.

Before my China business trip, I connected my card, but I forgot about the daily online transaction limit. Many Bangladeshi bank cards have only a few online transactions per day by default.

Before going to China, call your bank and check:

• International transaction is active or not
• Daily transaction limit
• Online transaction limit
• USD endorsement
• OTP will work abroad or not

• Alipay
• WeChat
• Didi
• Trip.com
• VPN
• Amap or Baidu Maps

Do this before leaving Bangladesh.

7. Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shenzhen for Leather Business

For leather business opportunity in China, Guangzhou is very useful for markets, samples, accessories, packaging and leather goods ideas.

Dongguan and Humen are more useful for factory visit, buckle supplier, mold making, machinery and production-related work.

Shenzhen is more modern and technology-focused. If you are already in Guangzhou, you can visit Shenzhen by high-speed train. For a simple Shenzhen travel guide, first choose the correct station because Shenzhen also has many train stations.

8. Do Not Make a Tight Schedule

China is big. Metro stations are big, railway stations are big, and supplier areas can be far from each other.

For first-time business travelers from Bangladesh, I suggest keeping one main target per day.

Example:

• Day 1: Arrive in Guangzhou
• Day 2: Guangzhou market visit
• Day 3: Leather goods and accessories market
• Day 4: Dongguan or Humen factory visit
• Day 5: Shenzhen visit
• Day 6: Follow-up meeting or sample collection

This is better than making a very tight plan and getting stressed.

Before your Dhaka to Guangzhou or China trip, check this list:

• Online arrival card

• Card transaction limit increased
• VPN installed

• Correct train station confirmed
• Metro exit gate saved

Conclusion

My first China trip was a big learning experience. I made mistakes with the China entry form, metro exit gate, railway station name, train timing and Alipay payment system.

My simple advice is:
